About the role
The person will be involved will be working closely with the CEOs and founders, leading the relationship and day-to-day operations such as; regular client insight meetings, yearend accounts, Tax advice, VAT filing, and management accounts. It is advantageous to have a good understanding of Xero, SIlverfin, Syft Analytics Dext and Hubdoc.
This role has lots of career opportunities and for the right person as it will develop into a promotion to Director and progress further.
The Role
- You’ll provide sound accounting/tax advice and consulting services. Providing advice and insight on financial data is a key part of the role.
- Responsible for Reviewing and the submission of VAT returns
- Preparing complex Yearend financial accounts prepared by juniors (ST, LTD – FRS 101 & LLP’s)
- Reviewing Yearend financial accounts prepared by juniors (ST, LTD & LLP’s)
- Prepare/Review corporate and personal tax returns and assist in providing high level tax advisory services
- Prepare Management Accounts and other management information for business owners and managers.
- Have good technical VAT and personal tax knowledge and can keep knowledge refreshed through CPD
- Generating leads and onboarding new clients. Also attending networking and social events is an important part of the role.
About you
We're looking for individuals who share our commitment to integrity, a client-centric service, and proactive engagement. Ideally, you'll come from either a practice or industry background and have:
- Near qualified or final stage qualification in AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified (qualified by experience will be considered).
- Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 102 1A.
- A strong focus and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to work prioritisation and time management.
- Good business acumen alongside the provision of good technical advice.
- Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
- Experience using different online accounting software's .
