FAQs
1. What is a confirmation statement, and when is it due?
A confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is correct, including directors, shareholders, people with significant control and your registered office. You have to file one at least once every 12 months, with a 14-day window to submit it. We track the date and file it for you.
2. Do I need to verify my identity with Companies House?
Yes. Directors and people with significant control (PSCs) now need to verify their identity with Companies House. New directors must do this before they're appointed, and existing directors have to do it by the time they file their next confirmation statement. We can guide you through the process and make sure everyone at your company is verified on time.
3. Can I use your address as my registered office?
Yes. Using our address keeps your home address off the public register and means official post goes straight to people who know what to do with it. We'll let you know promptly when anything important arrives.
4. Can you help me set up a new limited company?
Yes. We handle the whole registration process, including company name checks, articles of association, share structure and registering with HMRC. We'll also help you choose a structure that suits your plans from the start, so you don't have to restructure later.
5. What happens if my company doesn't keep up with its filings?
Late or missing filings can lead to penalties and a poor credit rating, and in serious cases Companies House can strike the company off the register. By managing your statutory filings and records, we make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
